Chapter 6

After reviewing the information in Chapter 6, I would have to say that I would rather teach in a classroom that is based more on digital technologies than not. I hold this belief for several reasons, including the idea that students would be more engaged if there were more pieces of technology in the classroom, and would therefore be achieving more because they are enjoying what they are doing. In addition, technology allows for the use of many different multiple intelligences as once, therein engaging and reaching more students at once. It is also easier, as a teacher, to take attendance and grades when these things are electronically based. However, I can see the dangers in being too electronically driven in a classroom, such as the added distractions and the potential for reduced student-teacher interaction. Overall, however, when used properly, I would much rather teach in a classroom based on digital technologies than one without the use of technology at all.

Pepsi MAX Super Bowl Ad

My favorite ad from the Super Bowl was the Pepsi MAX commercial where the Pepsi cooler comes to life and tosses the Pepsis to people. I suppose I like this because I like the idea of your beverages coming to you, instead of you having to go to get them. I also like the idea that they can be used for "evil" purposes, like hitting someone who is being rude to you. The ad was very funny and interesting, and made me want to drink Pepsi MAX, so, overall, I would also say that it was rather effective in advertising the product.
